Brainstorming

Brainstorming Techniques

To remind you, your brain is an onion. It can produce many good ideas. To brainstorm, just list down these good ideas quickly on a piece of paper. The word storm is important here as it refers to intensity.
It is a good idea to carry out brainstorming by starting small and getting familiar with it; it will help gearing up to embark upon more intricate topics.
Furthermore, there are four brainstorming rules or techniques, which lead to effective practice. The first is: liberate your thoughts. Write down all the thoughts that pop up in your head. Wait to criticize the ideas, as you cannot evaluate your ideas efficiently when you are receiving them. Go for quantity first and not quality; the more ideas the better. Quality is to be judged once all the ideas are on paper. Last but not the least, merge your ideas to make them better. (Ramage,. Bacon 106)

Conclusion
To conclude it can be said that through brainstorming writers are able to pen down any word or thought that comes to mind; so sometimes they are able to produce ideas they did no even know were hiding in some corner of their head. Owing to this, they are able to open up completely new possibilities in their writing.
